April 2010 meeting notes

Location:  4-Star Diner, Mt. Zion

Upcoming meetings:        Saturday, May 8          2:00     TA Truck Stop, Bloomington

 John suggested sending an email to Baker’s (new members) to see if they knew any good places to ride around Bloomington so we could go after May meeting if weather permits.

 John ordered jersey to use for giveaway at Trike Week

 John going to email Mary Jo a list of Illinois BTW members to use for a mailing to let them know about our May meeting and other events in the area.

March 2010 meeting notes

Attendance:  3 past members, 2 new members, 2 guests
Location:  Pizza Hut, Mt. Zion


Jim Lee, IL State Director and David Mendalski, IL Asst. State Director attended our meeting

 Motion made by current members in attendance, and new members, for officers for 2010-2012 – motions were seconded and officers voted on.  These will be the officers for the upcoming term if no one else comes forward:
Director:  John Foster
Assistant Director:  Dwight Dunn
Secretary/Treasurer:  Mary Jo Dunn
Road Captain/Event Coordinator:  (vacant)

 Motion was made (John Foster) and seconded (Mary Jo Dunn) to keep the $1/month dues for the Chapter – no one will be turned away if they feel they cannot pay the monthly dues

Motion was made (John Foster) and seconded (Dwight Dunn) that not any one person will make authorization for Chapter money to be spent, with exception for approved mailing supplies.

 News for Triker magazine and to State Director will be sent to Mary Jo Dunn by John Foster – she will write it up and forward it.  Our new State Director would also like to be kept informed of our Chapter activity, so a copy of our meeting information will also be sent to Jim Lee.

The Pride of the Prairie “area” for us to concentrate on is considered:
West Champaign
to east side of I-55
North to the south side of I-80
South to St. Louis

There are Illinois State patches available for purchase from Jim Lee for $5 each
